It was a facility that was actually designed to preserve life, but strangely enough it actually had this purpose in a situation where violence, misery, fear and the downfall of entire nations meant the end of a world. So is this a joke? For B it was a way out, but also a death struggle, and then suddenly she was part of something that seemed so far removed from reality that she feared going mad. But it had happened and she had been there. Or had she just imagined it? Dangerous questions appeared in her mind. There had been a hell of a lot of blood. She was now eternally a part of it, but of what exactly? It was a fairground, with a hell of a lot of noise. And they were all quite cheerful. Tears, because wasn't this a step towards madness? And what would it mean? Probably nothing good, because no matter the modern times, tradition is always part of it, too. And as varied as traditions can be, so can B's downfall. When the car door was closed, the forest around her, safety quickly evaporated into flight and she had to run, faster, faster, otherwise her body would be found too, another dead one, in some forest, like countless other women before her by now. And this, too, is a tradition, because no matter the time, tradition is always part of modern times, and the reality of violence had probably finally caught up with her, and running away from it was perhaps no longer possible. But had this ever really been the case? It should be possible to believe that in modern times, safety would be part of her basis, too. But what are modern times? What is tradition actually? And who really believes that both are eternal? Modern times are only modern until chaos brings civilizations to the edge and then into the abyss. The game has begun. And so far it has never been won.
